An Overview of the New Vendor Registration Steps

There are two necessary steps a new vendor/payee must take to begin the process of becoming a Duke vendor/payee: 1. Create a PaymentWorks account (once invited from initiator) 2. Complete the New Vendor Registration Form (located in PaymentWorks). This guide equips the initiator with the necessary information to address any questions from the new vendor/payee during the invitation and registration process.

The vendor/payee will need to review the invitation and click on the link in the invitation from the initiator.

If a vendor/payee states they did not receive an invitation, please have them first check their spam folder or junk folder.

Once clicked, they will see the PaymentWorks screen where they will be asked to **Join Now**.

Completing this simple form activity is the vendor/payee creating their PaymentWorks account. The vendor/payee will need to agree to the Terms of Service and select **Join Now**.

After creating a PaymentWorks account, the invited vendor/payee will receive an email asking to verify their email within the next 72 hours to activate their PaymentWorks account and sign in to complete registration.

This is a sample of the verification email the vendor/payee receives to verify their email account. They must select the link **Verify Your Email and Complete Your Registration**.

A vendor/payee cannot access their PaymentWorks account if they do not verify their email.

The vendor/payee will need to select **Sign In** to complete the New Vendor Registration form.

The vendor/payee logs into PaymentWorks.

Once logged into PaymentWorks, they will see Duke's new vendor registration form and can begin the process of completing the form. The form can be saved, if needed.

Once the vendor/payee completes the new vendor registration form, a **Submission Successful** message will appear. After submission, the vendor/payee can monitor the status of their registration form by logging into their PaymentWorks account. You can monitor the status of your vendor's/payee's progress in PaymentWorks.
