Zapier
As of September 30, 2025, we’ve rebranded to Assembly. The steps below remain the same. When searching in Zapier, look for Assembly (formerly Copilot) and this logo.

Navigate to your Zapier account and create a new Zap

Click "Trigger"

Type "Copilot"

Click "Copilot"

Click the "*EventRequired" field.

Click "Client Created"

Click "Continue"

Choose or add your Copilot account connection

Click "Continue"

Click "Test trigger"

Click "Continue with selected record"

The next Action modal will appear. Search for and select "Copilot"

Click the "*EventRequired" field.

Type "update"

Click "Update Client"

Click "Continue"

Click "Choose value…"

Click "Custom"

Click "ID"

Find the custom field containing the tag you wish to apply and click "Choose value…"

Select the tag you want to apply to newly created clients

Click "Test step"

Check your Copilot workspace to ensure the tag was added to the client from the Trigger step. Click "Publish" to publish and turn on your Zap
