First, Verify the end-user has the necessary license. Navigate to <https://admin.microsoft.com/#/homepage>

Click "Active users"

Search for the relevant user

Select user

Click "Licenses and apps"

Check the box next to the "Microsoft Teams Phone Standard" license.
The Microsoft Teams Phone Standard license is needed before a number can be assigned to a user.

Click "Save changes"
Assign a number to your newly licensed user!

In a new tab, navigate to [https://panel.sippio.io/signin](https://panel.sippio.io/signin)

Click "Sign in"

Click the admin account
If signing in for the first time, check your Microsoft Authenticator app for the 2FA code.
Check for available number. Or verify that the number you plan on assigning is currently available

Click "Inventory"

Click "Sync Now"

Exit the sync menu when sync is complete

The number may be parked. Email Sippio to change status from parked to Production status! submit request to sippio by emailing Steve\[**[[Steve Klarner]]**[[ <]]steve@sippio.io[[>\]]]

Verify the number is currently unassigned
Now assign the number to the user

Click "Users"

Input user's name then search

Click "Assign Number"

Click the number

Click "Assign Policy"

Click "Canada-Policy"
Assigning a policy means calls with this number are routed through the Canadian Data Centre

Click "Apply Changes"
Changes within Sippio and Teams can take quite some time. Wait an hour then make test calls until you can connect to the new user with their newly assigned number.
