Zapier
1
Go to [https://zapier.com/app/zaps](https://zapier.com/app/zaps) to start building your Zap
2
Click "Create Zap"
3
In your Trigger, select "Channeled" as your App Event
4
In your Trigger Event, select "When a Thread Is Updated"
5
Authenticate using the workspace you use with Channeled and click "Continue"
6
Make sure Zapier produces a test message. Sometimes you need to refresh the page to see this! Then, click "Continue" to create your Action
7
Add a step and select "Filter by Zapier" as your App Event
8
Select "Choose field" and select what you want to filter in order to fire the zap. In this case, we only want to update the owner if the tag is "bug", so we're going to select "Tags"
9
Add the criteria for your filter. In this case, we'll only assign the owner when "bug" is added as a tag to the thread.
10
Add a step, add "Channeled" as your App Event, and select "Update a Thread"
11
Identify the ID from Step 1 as the dynamic Thread ID to update.
12
Type in the specific name of the person you want assigned whenever an item is tagged with "bug." In this case, we have one person on our team who oversees bugs, so we've typed "Gerri"
If you've assigned Customer Owners in Channeled, you can select the dynamic Customer Owner name (this would result in messages tagged with "bug" to automatically be assigned to the Customer Owner).
Your Zap is ready to go! You can use the same action to simultaneously update its status – or add another step to automatically reply to the thread, anything you'd like. Happy automating!
