Basic Grant Search

**FINDING GRANTS**\ Hover over "Grants" & Click "Search Grant Opportunities"

You will need to play between Keywords/Phrases (top) and Filters (left). Review your results, and make changes to both Keyword and Filters to hone your search.

A good practice is start as broadly as possible. In "Any of the Keywords" enter as many keywords and phrases as you can (this will maximize the number of results) and click "Search"

To narrow your search, click on filters. E.g., "Sponsor Types"

Clicking the "+" sign prioritizes that component; clicking the "-" sign eliminates it from your search

Another useful filer is "Grant Types." You should look through all Filters to help narrow your search

As you narrow your search, review results. (Note the filters appear at the top.)\ On the search page, you will find basic information; clicking on the grant program opens a full program description.

The full grant description includes extensive information on the grant, as well as ways of editing, tracking, and sharing the grant information.

You can also click "Opportunity Source" and "Application URL" to access the funder's web pages

Saving Searches

When you are satisfied with your search parameters, you can click "Save/Load" and "Save a Search"

Enter a title for your search

Click on "Alert frequency" to determine how often you will receive emails updating you on this search (you can also choose to only receive emails when there are new grants)

Click "Save" then "Close"

The search is like a basic search (see above), but filtered by the sponsor name.
