1
Go to your Gmail at[mail.google.com](https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/) and click the **Gear** icon.
2
Click **"See all settings."**
3
You will automatically enter Gmail **Settings** under the **General Tab**. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and find **"Vacation Responder."**
4
Click the **"First day"** field. A calendar will pop up. Indicate the first date you want the automatic message to populate.
5
Do the same thing for when you want the automatic message to end by clicking in the **"Last day"** field.
6
Click in the **"Subject"** field and title your message as you wish.
7
Click in the **"Message"** field. Craft the automatic message you want to have sent when you recieve emails. Please note that it helps to consider your intended **Audience** for the message when you write it. The last used message and dates are present when you go to draft your auto-reply, but it can be helpful to have a bank of automatic messages in your Drive to make this process even faster.
8
Below the message field is where you can select who to send the auto-reply. You have three options. 1. **Check the top box** for only people in Contacts. 2. **Check the bottom box** for only people at the WCCC. 3. **Uncheck both boxes** for the message to go to anyone who emails you.
9
When your're happy with the chosen **Dates**, **Subject**, **Message** and **Audience**, click **"Save Changes.**" You do not have to do anything after you save unless you want to change any of the message specifics or end the auto-reply early.
