Clone a Template Transaction

This guide provides step-by-step instructions to clone a cancelled or denied template transaction.

Navigate to UCPath [https://ucpath.universityofcalifornia.edu](https://ucpath.universityofcalifornia.edu/home)

On the **Workforce Administration** homepage, click the **HR Tasks** tile.

On the left navigation pane, expand the **Smart HR Templates** folder.

Select the **Smart HR Transaction Status** menu option.

Search Criteria

The search drop-down menus default to All. Refer to the [View Template Transaction Status ](https://scribehow.com/viewer/View_Template_Transaction_Status__4LWLDa78TuaCSBv8KbMBBg)guide for detailed information on the search options.

Choose the **Cancel** or **Denied** option from the **Transaction Status** drop-down menu.

For best search results, use the **Empl ID** field.

If Empl ID is unknown, the employee's name can be used.

Adjust the date range to include the effective date of the template, as needed. **NOTE:** The **Start Date From** field defaults to 10 days prior to the current date, and the **To** field defaults to 10 days past the current date.

Click the **Refresh** button to return results.

Clone a Transaction

If a template transaction is cancelled by UCPath Center WFA Production, you can click the **View Comments** hyperlink and review the reason. **NOTE:** As a reminder, comments for a template transaction that was denied by a location Approver are located on the *SS Smart HR Transactions* page. Refer to the [View Template Transaction Status - SS Smart HR Transactions](https://scribehow.com/viewer/View_Template_Transaction_Status__SS_Smart_HR_Transactions__cj3qW833S2epXiapz8Ncrw?referrer=documents) guide for details.

For cancelled transactions, review the comments entered by UCPath Center WFA Production. Click the **Return** button to return to the search results.

Use the **Clone** button to create a new template transaction. Details from the original transaction carry over to the clone to simplify data corrections. Once you resubmit the transaction, the AWE process starts over.
