Open Fieldbook on your Android device.
A field layout file will need to be uploaded prior to continuing to the next step. See the "Adding Fields to Fieldbook" section of ["Getting Started with Fieldbook"](https://scribehow.com/page/Getting_Started_with_Fieldbook__nkDW-NhlTgmujlk4LLTgJw)

Click "Fields" to select the field you would like to collect data on.

Select the field you wish to use and click the back arrow to return to the main page.
Traits will need to be added prior to continuing to the next step. See the "Adding Traits to Fieldbook" section of ["Getting Started with Fieldbook"](https://scribehow.com/page/Getting_Started_with_Fieldbook__nkDW-NhlTgmujlk4LLTgJw)

Click "Traits" to navigate to the traits page.

Select the traits you want to collect data for by tapping the box next to each trait. Click the back arrow to return to the main page.

Tap "Collect" to begin collecting data.

On the collect page, begin entering data for the traits you selected previously. Here we are entering 25 for plant height.

To navigate to the next plot, click here.

To navigate to the next trait, click here.

You can continue navigating through traits by clicking here.

Once data collection is complete, you can use this arrow to go back to the main page.
