Choose "other" and type in your current institution (e.g. University of British Columbia)

Enter your complete mailing address (with postal code)

Tell us if you have worked on campus before. If you have worked on campus, and know your employee ID, enter it here.

Select your Citizenship information

Select the stream you are applying for. If it is the NSERC USRA (General Stream), click next.

If it is the NSERC USRA For Indigenous Student Researchers (open to Indigenous students only) stream,

tell us if you have already begun the Indigenous Truth Policy process at USask.

If it is the NSERC/SSHRC/CIHR USRA for Black Student Researchers (open to Black students only) stream,

tell us if you consent to this information about your personal identity being shared publicly.

Click "Next"

Enter the information about your faculty supervisor

Click "Next"

USask students must email all documents to undergraduate.research@usask.ca. Tell us if you have already done this, or if you plan to do so before the deadline. We will not remind you to submit your documents, so please plan accordingly.

Click "Next"

Double check your application before submitting. You cannot save your progress and return later, and you cannot edit your responses after you press "submit". Click "Submit".

Congrats! You have now submitted your USRA Application. Non-USask students must now email all documents (Student Application Form, Transcript(s), Faculty Mentor Application Form, and Faculty - Info for Student Hiring Form) to undergraduate.research@usask.ca before January 23, 2026, at 5:00 PM (Saskatchewan Time).
