Follow this step-by-step visual guide to using the application portal and submitting your application to join us for The University of Sheffield International Summer School. Head to the UoS International Summer School website and make sure you've read and processed all of the available information: <https://sheffield.ac.uk/international-summer-school/applying>

Once you are ready to apply\*, click "Apply now"\ \ **\*Remember,** you'll need your English language qualification proof and your official transcripts to date (or, if you're currently in your first year, then your transcript confirming the modules you're enrolled on and an academic reference).

Create your application portal account. \ \ This will be your username and log in to access your application via the portal.

Let us know if you are joining from one of our [exchange partners ](https://sheffield.ac.uk/globalopps/inbound/exchange/partners)or not and click "Start Application".

**Section A. Course Applied For**\ Check that you have applied for the right course (section A.) and then work through the sections to provide us with your information. \ \ **Tip:** Make sure to tick "save and continue" when you have finished each section.

English Language**\ \ Before completing this section, make sure that you have read and understood the English language entry requirements listed on the UoS International Summer Schools website here:[ https://sheffield.ac.uk/international-summer-school/applying#english-requirements](https://sheffield.ac.uk/international-summer-school/applying#english-requirements) **If you are not from a majority English speaking country\*,** this section is important for our admissions team to be able to assess your English language level and ensure that you meet the requirements of the programme. \ \ Complete the information about your qualification and upload a copy of it to be checked.\ \ **Tip:** If you can't find your qualification in the drop down list, select "other" and provide us with as much information as you can about this.\ \ \*If you're from a [majority English-speaking country](https://www.sheffield.ac.uk/international/english-speaking-countries), skip this section (as long as you have uploaded your most recent university transcript to confirm that you are studying in English (see next step).

Make sure to upload a copy of your qualification, as this will speed up processing. **Tip:** If you are joining from a partner university, this is where you can upload your confirmation from them about your level; Select "other" for the qualification type and write "partner university confirmation (your university name)".

**Section F. Previous Education** This section is also important for our admissions team to be able to check that you meet the UK 2:2 (50%) US 2.7 GPA entry requirement by checking your transcript (or transcript and reference if you are in your first year).

**Section F. Previous Education** \ Complete the information about your current (or previous) education. \ \ **Tip:** \ Make sure to include your start and end dates for the full degree you are studying (or have studied), not just the start and end dates of the current year of study.

Previous Education**\ **Tip:** If you are currently studying your degree, and therefore do not have a final certificate or transcript, select "I will not be providing this document" for every option apart from "Most Recent Transcript". \ \ Upload your transcript under the "Choose file" option and click "Save and Continue".

**G. Reference**\ If you are in your first year of your degree, and therefore don't have official grades yet on your transcript upload: Please upload an academic reference to support your application. \ \ **Note:** All other students may skip this section if you have already provided a transcript confirming your grades to date.

Complete the rest of the sections and then scroll down to click **"Submit".** Our admissions team will process your application in due course and we'll be in touch with you if you are missing any information from your application.
