Skipping Jobs & How to Configure Skip Reasons and Charges

In this tutorial you will see how to setup predefined skip reasons and charges on your Squeegee account. You will also see how to skip a job via the work planner.

Please note that adding **charges** to skip reasons is only available on the ***Ultimate*** plan. You can add skip *reasons*, without charges, on the **Core** subscription.

Skip Reasons

Go to Settings > Jobs & Scheduling

You can enable 'Skip Reasons' by toggling on this setting and then you will be able to enter predefined skip reasons. Enabling this will mean that a reason will need to be supplied in order to skip a job.

Click into 'Predefined Skip Reasons' > then 'New Skip Reason'.

You will need to enter a possible skip reason then click 'Save'. You can add as many of these as required.

Skip Charges

Steps 5-8 show features only available on the ***Ultimate*** plan.

If you are on the ***Ultimate*** plan then you will then be prompted to assign a charge type to the reason. This will be allocated to the customer's balance upon skipping the job. You can select from: - No Charge - Fixed Charge - Percentage Charge

If you select to apply a fixed or percentage charge, you can simply enter the value and click 'SAVE' in the top right corner.

Default Skip Charge

Please note that setting default skip charges is only available on the ***Ultimate*** plan and up.

Click into 'Default Skip Charge'. If no predefined reason is given and 'other' is chosen when skipping a job, the default skip charge will be used.

You will then be given the option to either set it to: - No Charge - Fixed Charge - Percentage Charge Again, enter the value of your desired default skip charge and click 'SAVE'.

If you skip a job with a skip charge, and you have automatic invoice creation on, then the an invoice for the skip charge will be raised against the customer.

Skipped Job Notification

If you want the customer to receive a notification for their skipped job, regardless of whether a skip charge is applied, you can enable the 'Send skipped job notification' in Settings > Jobs & Scheduling and confirm 'OK' on the prompt.

Skipping Jobs

Click into the job that you need to skip.

Then click the pink three dots > Skip.

You can then choose if it is a 'Partial Skip' or a 'Full Skip - in this example we will be using the 'Full Skip', but you can find out more about partial skips here: <https://scribehow.com/o/lQglArI1TWiF5Tqfjd7_lg/viewer/Partial_Skips__Pln02WHfRFqePApOEQAZjA>

Click 'Next' once you have chosen the relevant option.

If you have Skip Reasons setup, you can select which one applies, or click 'Other' if you need to enter a different reason.

You can adjust this toggle to include/exclude the skip charge.

Then click 'Next' again.

Here you can review the skip details before confirming ' Skip Appointment'.
