Confirming Initiation for Pledges

Navigate to <https://portal.sigmachi.org/>

Navigate to the "Pledging Dashboard".

This overview section will give chapter's a summary of their pledging status. If the chapter has a listed initiation date from the last pledge class they entered, and HAS NOT yet been confirmed, the date will appear on the "Next Initiation Date" section on the far right.

To confirm those initiates in the system, scroll to the bottom of the page where it says "Manage Pledge(s)".

Select the check box for the members who will have their initiation confirmed.

Once all have been selected, select the "Confirm Full Initiation" button.

Review the details of the member's selected. Verify that their name and estimated initiation date are accurate.

Once verified, select on the calendar icon to insert the date of their initiation.

The initiation should be the same as the Estimated Initiation date.

Once entered, hit next. This step will be repeated for all pledges that were selected to have their initiation confirmed.

Once all have been confirmed, verify that none of the pledge class members appear under the manage pledge(s) section.

Use the search field to enter some names.

If an entire pledge class was confirmed, the table will say "Nothing to Show". If an individual was confirmed and searched for, the same message will appear.

To confirm that the member has had their initiation confirmed, go to the chapter's roster.

Click the "Search by First Name, Last Name" field. Enter the pledge's name, or sort the list with the fields available on the left hand side.

Enter a name and hit "Search".

The member that was just initiated is now listed as an Active-Undergraduate member!
