Connecting Your New Pocket After a Replacement

If you’ve received a replacement Pocket, follow these steps to set it up with your app

**Step 1:** **Remove your old device from your account.**\ \ Open the Pocket app and connect your **old device** one last time.\ If you no longer have access to your old device, contact [hey@heypocket.com](mailto:hey@heypocket.com) — our team will manually remove it from your account so you can proceed directly to **Step 7**.

**Step 2:** Click on **Settings** in the Pocket App.

**Step 3:** Tap **Reset Device** — this will unlink your old Pocket from your account.

**Step 4:** Check the box that says **I understand that this will reset the device**.

**Step 5:** Tap **Reset** to confirm.

**Step 6:** Once complete, your old device will be successfully reset and removed.

**Step 7:** Return to the home screen and tap **Connect**.

**Step 8:** Follow the onboarding steps. Hold the **side button** on your new Pocket for 5 seconds to power it on — you’ll see a **blinking blue light**, indicating it’s ready to pair.

**Step 9:** Follow the on-screen instructions in the app to finish connecting your new Pocket.
