Unmio - Convert Private Contact

This guide outlines the process for converting a contact from private to fully listed. By converting, the community member and organization can begin to engage in different ways and access to additional resources.

Request Contact Informtion

When a community member connects with your organization, they can chose to remain **private** and follow along, without having to reveal their personal information. This is meant as a first step to build trust with community members who aren't ready engage directly. A **private** contact is limited to receiving news feed posts and sending/receiving messages with your organization.

Send Information Request

From your home dashboard, click the hamburger menu here.

Click "Contacts"

Click on the private contact you'd like to convert.

Use information in tabs to confirm the correct private profile.

Click "Request information"

A basic profile request will be sent to the private contact.

Click "X" to close the banner.

Once confirmed, click the "< Back" link.

Congrats! You have sent the information request needed to convert a private contact.

**Contact View**: Contact will receive the information request alert and notification on their device. Tap on the "Alert Bell" icon.

**Contact View**: Contact taps the notification card.

**Contact View**: Contact can tap "Share information" button to consent.

**Contact View**: Contact has successfully shared their information.

Once the private contact has shared their information, their information will now appear on the "Contacts" page.

Navigate to the Contacts page

Click the "Full name" field.

Click "Profile"

Click the "Full name" field.

Congrats! You have successfully converted a private contact.
