Create A Signup form on Action Network and embed it on your SolidWeb site

Navigate to [https://actionnetwork.org](https://actionnetwork.org/groups/uaw-t2/manage)

If you have multiple Action Network groups, go to the appropriate group.

Click "Syndication"

Go the "Get Updates' template. Click "Edit"

Fill in the title. In this example, we're trying to get sign up for bargaining communications "Get Bargaining Updates from Local XXXX"

Enter a description that suits your members.

Click this button.

Put a thank you message at the top: "Thanks for signing up for bargaining updates!"

In the subhead, type "Share this with your fellow members"

Enter an additional thank you message if needed - Example: "Thanks for signing up!"

Click this button.

Click this dropdown to set the page wrapper to a UAW branded page - "UAW Logo Wrapper"

Click this button.

Scroll up the page and right click the "VIEW FORM" button, and copy the link. You'll need this link to paste into your website later in this tutorial.

Navigate to your SolidWeb site and log in as an administrator.

In the bottom right hand corner, Click "Create"

Click "Add Hero"

Click the "Administrative Title" field.

Type "Sign Up for Bargaining Updates"

Click this button.

If you have a picture of your bargaining committee or of members, use that. Otherwise, you can use one of the photos in the shared library. If the latter, Click "Shared Library"

A good generic photo to use the the "flag-members-crop.jpg" but there are other photos you can choose from as well.

Click "Insert selected"

Click the "Heading" field.

Type the Title of bargaining updates. Example is below.

Insert a blurb about where you are in negotiations and prompt members to sign up "Negotiations coming soon! Sign up for updates here"

Tip! Are you currently in bargaining and want to drive members to your bargaining updates section, but also give members the option to sign up for bargaining updates? No problem! Follow these steps instead of continuing onto the next step of this tutorial. Instead of linking the button directly to the form, link to the bargaining updates page instead. Here's how: 1. Paste the link to your bargaining updates page *instead* of a direct link to the action, and save the Hero. 2. Navigate to your Action Network Group page, go to > "Actions" tab > Click " ⚙️" or just click the title of your barging updates form to manage the action. 3. Copy the embed code that's on the right hand of the page. You may have to scroll down a bit to see it. 4. Go back to your SolidWeb site. 5. Navigate to the bargaining updates page edit the page. 6. In the body of the page, select "FULL HTML" in the drop down 7. click the "Source" button 8. paste in your embed code beneath whatever content you have in the body. 9. Save the bargaining updates page.

Under the URL, paste the link to your "Get Bargaining Updates Form.

In the "Link text" , type "GET UPDATES"

Click this button.

The new hero banner and link to your Bargaining Update sign up form will now be published. Right-click "GET UPDATES" and open in new window/tab to test the link.
