Create Bank Payment Runs In Thrive accounts

Navigate to <https://app.thriveaccounts.com/> and open the Bank module.

Click "Bank Payment Runs"

Click "New Payment Run"

Add the bank account you will be making the payments from.

Choose your account from the list.

You can filter down what suppliers are in the payment run, such as a specific supplier payment group,

or selecting a specific supplier.

You can also change the due date cut-off for transactions to appear in the payment run.

Click "Generate" to create the payment run.

Thrive will find any suppliers with outstanding transactions due payment, and display them below. On the left is the expand icon for viewing what transactions are outstanding, the supplier account code and name,

in the middle is the IBAN number for the Supplier's bank account, and the BIC code for their bank,

And on the right is the total payment amount based on the suggested transactions selected, and the bin icon for removing a supplier from the payment run.

Click the expand icon to view the outstanding transactions for a supplier.

Here we see the Suggested Payments for our supplier to be paid. If we had transactions that were outstanding but not yet due, they would be grouped under "outstanding transactions".

On the left we have the date and transaction number for the payment, the reference and transaction type,

And on the right we have the due date of the payment, the currency, outstanding amount to be paid, the checkbox for selecting the payments, and the payment amount.

below this is the grand total for suggested payments.

Any suggested payments will be automatically selected by Thrive when first generating the Payment Run, but you can choose not to pay a transaction by using the checkbox to unselect it.

If you only wish to pay a partial amount for the transaction, you can edit the "Payment Amount" field to your desired amount.

To add another supplier to your payment run, click "Add Supplier".

Click here to search for a supplier.

Then click "Add"

This will add the supplier, with the transactions grouped under "outstanding transactions"

Like before, you can add transactions to the payment run by using the checkbox.

To remove a supplier from the payment run, use the bin icon.

Click "Save" to save your payment run as a draft, for returning to later.

You can identify draft payment runs that are in progress by the status "Draft".
Note that only 1 Draft Payment Run can be on the system for each Bank Account. You will need to Finish & post a payment run before starting another one for the same Bank Account.

The overflow menu gives us several options for taking action on our Payment Run. To generate a SEPA file for uploading to our bank, click "SEPA File"

If you're happy with the processing date, reference and file name, Click "Generate".

This will download a .XML file to your computer, ready for uploading to your bank to process the payments.

To view a PDF report on what payments will be made for the current draft of a payment run, Click "Payment Run Report"

This will download the PDF to your computer, where you can view in detail what transactions will be paid, without needing to click through each supplier on a payment run.

If you wish to resume your payment run, click "Resume"

Thrive will display a warning if you have generated a SEPA file for this payment run. If you are sure you wish to continue, click "Resume"

You will see the same actions as on the overflow menu by using the "Actions" dropdown on the detailed view of your payment run.

When you are ready to complete the payment run, click "Finish & Post"

We now have some more options Click "Actions"

This will post your payments to the bank ledger. You can now view the remittances for your suppliers based on this payment run. Click "Remittance Advice" to download a PDF showing how each supplier is paid.

To send an email to each supplier containing the remittance for this payment run, click "Email Remittances"

Then click "Send"

Thrive will display an indicator that the emails are being sent.

A message will appear once the emails were sent.
