Create Course Groups

Within your course, Click "Groups"

Click "New Group Set"

Give the group set a title. The assignment it will be used for works, or any other name.

On the right side of the page, toggle the availability to be "Visible to students"

Select the type of grouping needed: Custom, Randomly assigned, or Self-enroll.

For this guide, we will use "Randomly assign."

One option will appear, which will be how many groups you would like to have. The default option has been left in this example.

Students can be moved from group to group using the 3-dot menu to the right of their name. If you move members, the membership changes wherever these groups are used, such as in group discussions and assessments.

Click "Save" when you are finished.
