Basic Information
7
Enter the job description. You can type it or copy and paste from another document. Be sure to include specific skills you’re looking for, minimum requirements, approximate number of hours per week, and expected responsibilities.
Tip! If you are limited to hiring only undergraduate or graduate students, you are strongly encouraged to specify that prominently in the position description. This will not prevent students from applying, but provides clarity to students about whether they are eligible.
8
Click "Continue"
Tip! If you keep the blue "Automatically fill in the rest of this job post using job description" box checked, Handshake's AI will generate answers for the remainder of the post. Please double check all fields!
Position Details
9
Enter the job title for this position followed by the number of positions available. Please include the number of positions you are hiring in parentheses following the position title.

Candidate Qualifications
25
Click "This job requires US work authorization" and select no other boxes.
26
**Optional:** Add up to 7 skills you are looking for in an ideal applicant.
27
**Required:** Select the school year(s) of an ideal applicant. Handshake is populated with information from Banner. Please remember that some students enter Clark with Advanced Standing credit and might have standing for another class year.
28
*We recommend leaving the "latest graduation date" field blank.* The filter cannot distinguish between graduate and undergraduate students who you review applications. For this reason, using the school years option above is the best option.
29
**Optional:** Select major group(s) for your ideal applicant. Handshake has general categories you can select. Or you can click on the “Choose a specific major by school” link at the bottom right to pull up a drop-down menu of Clark majors. This does not prevent students with different majors from applying. It is an opportunity to be transparent if you are trying to recruit / will be giving preference to students in certain majors.
30
**Optional:** Enter a minimum GPA of your ideal applicant. We recommend only using this if your job has specific requirements.
31
Click "Continue"
Choose Schools

38

39
If you would like to receive a cover letter from your applicants, click the "Cover letter" field. This is not required but highly encouraged to match real world expectations.
40
If you would like to receive other documents, click "Other." You will be asked to include instructions for the other materials in the next step.
41
Explain the additional requirements you require. This could be a writing sample or a copy of a student's course schedule. Please keep in mind any additional work you are asking of your applicants. Would an essay they wrote for a class suffice as a writing sample?
