Navigate to your Google Classroom Dashboard.

Click on the course where you want to create the Kami Assignment.

Click **"Classwork."**

Click **"Create."**

Click **"Kami Assignment."**

Click **"Continue with Google."**

Choose your WCCC account & when prompted, click **"Continue"** on the bottom right corner.

Click **"Allow"** to allow them access.

**Tip!** If you're signing in for the first tie or the first time in a while, it will probably give you a tour of new features. If you have a minute, it's a great idea to check it out. Click "Skip Tour" or "Next Page" depending on your time restraints.

Once you authorize access to Kami, it will instantly launch a new assignment. Now all you have to do is build it. Click the **"Title"** field.

Click where you want to get the assignment from. For this example I used Google Drive, but you can also choose to: - Upload a file. - Supply a link to a file. - Or choose something from the Kami library (use a template or a premade assignment)

Find the item in your Drive and click. Click **"Select."**

Now you can customize the Google assignment settings with typical things like who it's assigned to, points available, due date/ time and topic name.

Click **"Feature Control."** By clicking this box, you can control which Kami features are allowed to students completing the assignment. See the next slide to learn more about the features and tools you can allow or disallow.

- Unclick features you want to restrict if they're already enabled. - Click unmarked features you want to add. - To remember these settings for the future, click **"Remember Options."** Click **"OK."**

You can automatically send assignment instructions to students as long as you click this box and have instructions listed.

Click **"Assign."**

It's not a bad idea to go back into Google Classroom to see if the assignment "looks" right. Do do that, click **"Open in Classroom."** You have the ability to also edit the assignment at that time or have a **"Live view of the class."**
