Create a MapBuilder presentation application

**MapBuilder** is a more limited map client designed for publishing purposes. It allows for the creation of simplified maps tailored to specific use cases, enabling you to configure which tools and map layers to include. This makes it ideal for users who only need to view maps with a limited set of features. One of the tools enabled by MapBuilder is a **presentation** application. Similar to *Powerpoint*, but integrated into Adaptive, it allows you to set up a presentation of map data through slides. Perfect for presenting data in a map format.

Head over to **"Applications"** and click **"MapBuilder"**.

Click **"Presentation"**.

Metadata and thumbnail

Give the MapBuilder presentation a title, description and an alias. **PS! Alias is required**

Set a thumbnail here.

Adjust layout and tools

To adjust the layout, click **"Layout"**.

Enable/disable tools for the MapBuilder presentation.

Add/Edit slides

Click **"Slides"**.

Click **"Add slide"**.

Give the slide a title, thumbnail and text.

Click **"Content"**.

Add map layers and/or datasets to slide.

Select map layers / datasets to add, then click **"Add"**.

Here you can see the map layers and datasets added. Here you have the option to: - Enable/disable data inspection - Set initial visibility - Filter datasets.

Adjust table under the **"Table"** tab. Here you can include tables in the slide and adjust workspace behavior.

In the **"Map location"** section, the extent of the map can be set.

Click **"Set extent"** to set extent.

To add more slides, click **"Add slide".**

Select basemaps

Click **"Basemaps"**.

Click **"Add basemaps"**.

Select the preferred base maps and click **"Add"**.

Create the presentation

Click here to create the MapBuilder presentation.

Grant relevant access, then click **"Grant access"**.

Test the MapBuilder presentation by clicking the URL found under the overview section.
