Create a New Company and Contact in HubSpot

Navigate to [https://app.hubspot.com/user-guide/45175474?via=home](https://app.hubspot.com/user-guide/45175474?via=home)

On the left hand side click on the icon with a person in a book

Click "Companies" from the menu that pops up

Click "Create company" in the top right-hand corner

Click the "Company name" field and start typing the target company name

Type the name of the company "1-800 Flowers"

Start filling in the information that you know.

Click on corresponding industry that best describes the company

For the type drop down most will fall into the prospect category in the beginning

Click "Prospect"

Click the "City" field and put the targets office city

Type the city and zip code

Fill in the number of employees if unknown you can leave blank or check zoom info

Type estimated number of employees

Click the "Annual revenue" field.

Type estimated annual revenue, leave blank if unknown, or check zoom info

Click the "Time zone" field.

Type corresponding time zone

Click the "Description" field- add in any details you feel helpful

Click "Create"

In the right-hand corner under contacts click the plus symbol

Search contacts name in existing contact to make sure they are not already in the system

If a new contact click on create new

Type the contacts email

Click the "First name" field.

Type the contacts first name

Click the "Job title" field.

Click the "Phone number" field.

Add in the contacts number

Click Lifescycle stage and select stage that most accurately depicts where you are in the sales cycle

Most will fall under lead in the beginning

Click on lead status

If no contact has been made select open, if the sales process has begun select "in progress"

Click "Set this contact as a marketing contact"

Click on create a note to document any information regarding this client

Type "Found this company while doing sales calls in the disney business park."

Schedule a "to-do task"

Select when you would like to follow up to generate options
