Create a New Flex Group and Activity

Securly

Please create a priority group with your Catchall Flex group for days that students are required to stay in Flex, such as for the Climate survey and the DESSA.

Navigate to [https://flex.securly.com/dashboard](https://flex.securly.com/dashboard)

Create a Group of your Flex Class

Click Students

Click "Groups (Rosters)"

Click "Add"

Click "New group of groups"

Search "Flex Grade " and select your section of flex

Tip! Your Flex section number is available in IC on your course

Name Your Group Something that makes sense to you.\ Add a description if desired.

Tip! You may want to add a description to help you remember why this group of a group was created.

We recommend making this group "Private"

Click "Add"

Create an Activity for this Group

Click Activities > Activities list > "New activity"

Fill out the Information for the Activity

Caution! The add teacher will give that teacher the ability to make changes to your activity

Select "Priority"for the Level

Select the Group you created

Click "Add"

Schedule your Activity

Click "My schedule"

Find the date you would like to add the Activity to and Click "Schedule Activity"

Choose the activity

Uncheck the Apply to Master so you can "reuse" This activity throughout the year.

Click "Update activity"

Alert! The teacher attendance feature is intended for times when you want someone to take attendance for your group. It is not for sharing your attendance with the students' flex teachers.
