Create a New License for a User

This guide provides a step-by-step process for creating a new license for a user, ensuring that all necessary details are accurately entered. It simplifies the licensing process, making it accessible even for those unfamiliar with the system.

Click the name of the user you wish to add a license to.

Alert! In our example, we will be creating a new license for someone who had a license renewal but it is the same process for a user who has no license recorded in the system yet.

Tip! If there are credits entered for a user who has not yet created a license or a new license, the credits will appear and automatically populate in the progress bar once the license is created.

Click "Create New"

Click "Target Credit Hours"

Type the number of clock hours for your target

Click "License label"

Type what you want to be displayed as the label for the license

Click "Educator ID"

Type the ID number as it appears in the state system or other official system

Click the "MM/DD/YYYY" field for the start date.

Select the effective start date for the license. The system uses this date to pull relevant data, so ensure it accurately reflects the timeframe you intend to capture.

Click the "MM/DD/YYYY" field for the end date.

Select the effective end date for the license. The system uses this date to pull relevant data, so ensure it accurately reflects the timeframe you intend to capture.

Click "Description"

This is where you put any relevant details about the license and endorsements or specialties, including grade levels

Click "Create New" (optional) if you wish to attach a license or certificate PDF or other documentation.

Click this text field.

Label the attachment, for example--teaching certificate."

Click here to add the attachment

Click "Done"

Click "Save"

Tip! Remember to refresh your browser if you do not see the new license displaying right away.
