Navigate to [beehiiv](https://www.beehiiv.com/?via=guillaume) sign-up for an account and follow the onboarding instructions.

Select the "**Launch**" plan to start.

Fill in the details for your newsletter and click "**Continue**"

Tell them you heard about beehiiv via 100 School 😏... and then continue the rest of the onboarding.

Select the "**Get started with Launch**" option during onboarding.

Once you've finished the sign-up process, feel free to complete the tour within your dashboard if this is your first time using beehiiv.
Customize your publication site

One of the benefits of beehiiv is that your newsletter comes with its own publication site that houses your newsletters and other information about your business or project. The site is already configured for you, but you're able to customize several elements of the site to your preference.\ \ Let's look at some of the customization features, so that you know where they are. \ \ Click "**Customize your website**"

You're now in the editing suite for your publication site. \ \ Specifically, you're in the "**Styles**" section where you can change several aspects of your website's design. \ \ If you didn't add a logo during onboarding, add one now. \ \ Select this button in the "**Logo & Identity**" section.

Click "**publication settings**"

Click this icon to upload a logo.

You'll know when your logo has been added successfully because you'll see it appear here, and you'll see an on-screen notification appear.

Return back to the website editor and review the colors that are used within your website template. \ \ Click this icon next to "**Global Colors**"

Select your color preferences and when you're finished, click this icon to go back.\ \ Note: As you change the colors in the editor, you'll see your website update in real-time on the screen.

Select "**Typography**" to change the fonts that are used throughout your site.

Tweak the typography to your preferences, again, you'll see the changes update on your website to the right-hand side.

Spend some time exploring the rest of the sections in the editor.\ \ If you'd like to add social links to your site, you can do that in the footer.\ \ Select "**Global Footer**"

Click here and follow the instructions on the following page to add social icons to your website footer.

To change the layout of your website, click "**Layout**" as shown below.

As you did with the styling, you can review the layout options in this section. The layout will update in real-time.

Lastly, review the website settings section.

This is where you can configure several aspects of your technical website configuration such as tracking, SEO items and comment management.

When you've finished customizing your website, click "**Publish Styles**"

Click "**Exit**"

In your dashboard, this is where you'll find your website URL.
Create a subscription form

Perhaps you already have a website that you'd prefer people to subscribe from. Or you want an embedded form to place elsewhere to generate additional subscriptions. This is where you configure these types of subscription forms.\ \ Open the "**Audience**" menu.

Click "**Subscribe Forms**"

Click "**Create new form**"

Here you can customize the design and messaging of your form.

Don't forget this section where you can show a message to your new subscriber!

When you've finished customizing your subscribe form, click "**Save**"

Click "**View**"

You'll now be shown the form you've created in multiple formats for embedding on your website.\ \ Simply copy the code you want to use and then follow your website platform's instructions for adding custom HTML code.
