Create an Excavator Basic Exactix User Account

This training module teaches excavators how to create a Basic Exactix Account designed for submitting Single Address Tickets, where all excavation activity remains within the property boundaries. The session focuses on helping excavators confidently self‑register, verify their account, and prepare to submit accurate, compliant location requests through Colorado 811’s Exactix system.

IMPORTANT: If you are a previous CO811 Web Ticket Entry (WTE) user, you must use the email invitation sent by Irth to register and link your old account to your new one. Please check your inbox for an invitation email from Irth. If you haven’t received the invitation, contact Online Services for assistance before proceeding with registration.

Navigate to <https://exactix.colorado811.org/login>

Click **"Sign up"**

Click the **"Email Address"** field and enter an individual email address for your account. Each individual account will need a separate email address. This cannot be a shared company email address. Click **"Confirm Email Address"** enter the email address again.

**"My email will be my username"** will be selected by default. It is recommended that your email address is used as your username. De-select to choose a different username.

Enter your First Name and Last Name into the the appropriate fields.

Select a password that is at least 6 characters and enter it into the **"Password"** field. Confirm your password in the next field.

If you already have an Exactix account with Colorado 811 or another 811 center, click **"Already have a login? click here"** to go the login page. **IMPORTANT:** If you are a previous CO811 Web Ticket Entry (WTE) user, you must use the email invitation sent by Irth to register and link your old account to your new one. Please check your inbox for an invitation email from Irth. If you haven’t received the invitation, contact Online Services for assistance before proceeding with registration.

To continue creating a new account, click **"Submit."**

An email will be sent to the email address that you entered to register the account for verification.

Check your inbox for an email from **"4iQ Identity"** with the subject line of **"Exactix verification code."** It is best to verify the account as soon as possible to continue your registration, although the verification code in the email is valid for 24 hours.

Enter your code and click **"Confirm."**

Verify the information in the populated fields then enter your phone number followed by selecting a **"Phone Type"** from the drop-down selections.

Click **"Next."**

If you or someone else at your company have previously created Locate Requests, you can try to find existing account information using the **"Company Name"** or a **"Ticket Number."**

Before creating a new account, please search for all possible variations of your company name.\ Creating a new account—**whether under a different variation of the company name or even the same name**—will result in a duplicate account. Duplicate accounts can affect your access to previously submitted tickets and may cause delays in support.\ **For example**: Colorado 811, CO811, and Utility Notification Center of Colorado are all the same company. Creating separate accounts under any of these variations will create duplicate records. To avoid issues, confirm that an account does not already exist under any name variation before creating a new one.

If you choose **"Company Name,"** enter the Company Name into the **"Search Companies"** field.

If your company with the correct office address is found, select it from the drop-down menu options. If the address to your office is not found with the company name, contact Online Services before proceeding.

If not found, click the **"Back"** button.

To find by ticket number, enter the Ticket Number and Phone Number associated with the ticket into the following fields and click **"Find Ticket."**

To proceed with a new account, click **"Create a new account."**

Click **"Excavator."**

Enter your company name into the **"Company Name"** field.

Select your Company Type from the drop-down menu.

Select your Industry Type from the drown-down menu.

Enter your Job Title into the **"Title"** field.

Select your Role from the drop-down options.

Enter the mailing address to your company in the following fields.

Click **"Next."**

Review the summary of the information. If it is correct, click **"Create Account'"** to finish registration.
