Create an External Activity or Group Credit

This guide provides a step-by-step process for creating an External Activity, making it easy for admin to award one record to an entire group. It simplifies the task of documenting training sessions, ensuring all relevant details are captured efficiently.

Click "External Activities"

Click "Create New"

Click "Activity name"

Type the name you want to display for the activity or training.

Click the "MM/DD/YYYY" field.

Click the date the activity took place

Click "Group"

Type the name of the group you wish to focus on.

Click that group

Click "Categories"

Click all relevant categories for that activity or training.

Click "Description"

This is where you describe the training or meeting in greater detail, and be sure to include relevant information that your supervisor may need to see.

Click "Create New" (optional) to add an attachment.

Click this text field to add a label to the attachment

add a description (optional) if you wish or need to clarify details

Type "s there"

Click here to upload the attachment.

Click "Done"

Alert! Don't forget to credit your users.

Click "Credited Users"

Click "Select All" if most people in a group were present

Tip! If only a few from that group were present, do not select all. Instead, simply hand select the box for all that were present.

Unclick anyone who was not present.

Click the "# Credit Hours" field to enter the number (in clock hours) of the activity or training.

The number will appear only for those with a check mark.

**Alert:** The key value is the number on the right—it determines the credit received. The checkboxes are simply a shortcut for assigning numbers to multiple users at once. For example, even if a box is unchecked when saved, any user with a “2” next to their name will still receive 2 hours of credit.

Tip!

You can adjust individual users for special cases by entering a different number or using the arrow controls to modify their value.

Click "Save"
