Create and Edit Multiple Choice Questions

With the new Multiple Choice Question option, you can now use the kiosk to capture responses to any types of questions. For example, do you have an upcoming event that you would like to gather RSVP responses for? Or do you want to ask a question at the kiosk about volunteer opportunities to recruit more volunteers, or ask your staff if they took a lunch break for payroll purposes? You can now ask those questions, and more, using multiple choice questions.

Adding Questions

To add a new question, click "Add"

Determine if you'd like this question to be answered during sign-in or during sign-out.

Determine how often you'd like to ask this question - during every sign-in or just one time.

Select all the visitor type's you'd like to target with this question. If you check a visitor type, every person that signs in using that visitor type will be asked this question. You can select multiple visitor types at a time.

If you choose "Service Provider" or "Staffing Agency" as your audience, you have the option to further customize by choosing specific service types. For example, you could have a question that only appears for Hospice workers.

Type in your question in the "Primary Question" field.

Next, add in the response you'd like available for this question. We'd suggest having a minimum of two responses available, however you can offer up to four response. Click "Add New Response" to add another one.

Once you have your responses typed, click the "Select Action Type" dropdown and assign an action to that response. "Allow Entry" means this response will allow the person to continue their sign-in with no issues. "Deny Entry" means this response will have a warning message pop-up on the screen and won't allow the person to continue their sign-in. Each response will need an Action Type selected to accompany it.

Also tied to responses, you can enable a follow-up question to trigger if that response is chosen. For instance, in this example, if a user chooses "Yes" to receive notifications, they continue their sign-in. But if they choose "No," I can have a follow-up question appear asking "Do we have your permission to send notifications regarding your schedule volunteer visit, including changes to schedule?"

If you chose the "Follow Up Question," option you'll need to add in the question content, the responses and the response actions, just like with the primary question.

If you'd like to provide multi-language option for this question, you can toggle on the additional language options and then click the pencil icon to edit them.

Click "Save" and "Continue" once done.

The next screen will ask if you'd like to configure an alert tied to this question. For example, if you had a question asking if the person signing in has had a fever recently and they answer "Yes," your team may want to receive an immediate notification and be aware of that answer. If you do want an alert created, click "Create New Alert"

Give your alert an informative name. This name is for internal only staff - your guest will not be seeing this alert.

Check the box next to every response you want to receive this alert for.

If one of your responses was set to "Deny Entry," you may want to choose "Allow Override." This means members of your team could intervene and choose to allow the guest to enter & continue their sign-in - even if they chose a "wrong" answer.

Staff members can override a "wrong answer" using either their phone number or, if the "Require Override Code" option is checked, they'd type in whatever override code you choose.

You can adjust the times in which this alert are sent.

Check either the phone or email address for every staff member that should receive this alert. If you don't see certain staff listed, try toggling the "View all staff members" on. This should increase your staff list to show more people.

Click "Save" once done.

Click "Publish" once done.

Editing Questions

To edit existing questions, click the dial button next to the question and choose "Edit"

You can enable / disable questions with the Status column.

You can review reporting for that specific question by clicking the icon under the Reports column.

You can view even more reporting by clicking the "Reports" tab and choosing "Multiple Choice Questions Log"
