Create and Manage an Event on The Hub

Log into the Hub.

Open up the organization's page.

Click "Events."

Click "+ Create Event."

Complete the required fields: Event Name, Description, and Event Type.

Your organization's officers will automatically be able to manage the event, but you can select a point of canotact from your list of officers.

If there are members of your organization who are not officers, but are serving on the event planning committee or assisting with the event in some way, you can add them here.

Type in their name and select them from the drop down list.

You are required to enter and event start and end date, as well as event times. The system will not let you submit events less than 30 days from the event start date.

If you are attempting to reserve a space in 25Live, you need to enter the "Number of Attendees" field.

Select the amount of setup and breakdown time you will need for your event.

Click "Book rooms" to see what spaces are available for your event.

You can filter to see what spaces are available and what spaces have the room features you need for your event.

If your event is hosted in a space that isn't available within 25Live, select Other location.

Complete the "Location Name" field.

Select an image to serve as the header on your event page. You can select from stock images in the platform or upload an image that matches your event. You can also upload an event flyer.

Select the image and "Save."

You have the option to list any food that will be provided at the event in the "Food Provided" field.

Select who you would like to be able to register to you event and who can view your event on the calendar.

There are several options for event registration.

You can limit the number of people who can RSVP for the event.

If you are selling tickets to the event, you can enter the ticket cost here.

You can also open up a waitlist for people who want to claim a ticket if someone is no longer able to attend.

You can also limit the number of tickets each person can claim, and select a date on which the event tickets become available.

You can also ensure that any taxes associated with the ticket purchase are built into the ticket cost, so the attendee doesn't have to pay any additional fees.

Click "Save" to incorporate these changes.

If you have a select number of tickets available for group members, you can also limit who may access a certain ticket type.

You'll want to hide this ticket option, so that it doesn't show up for everyone.

The 'Add more question / slots' features allows you to add questions to the attendee registration process.

If your event features a speaker, you can add their information here.

If there are organizations sponsoring your program, you can add their logos to the event page here.

If the event requires the attendee to register on another site, you can enter a link to re-direct them here.

If this event is a part of a larger series of event, you can select to have the avent also appear on the parent event page.

If there is another event that attendees are required to attend in conjunction with this event, you can select to automatically register them for the additional event here.

If you are co-hosting the event with another organization or department, you can select that group here. Their officers will also be given access to manage this event.

Once you have customized your event, you will select to proceed to the approval form. Your event will be created as a draft until the form is approved.
