Create campus day tour parking registration.

This guide explains how to set up a day permit for campus events, including scenarios where guests need to register daily for multi-day events. It's adaptable for most day permits on campus.

Navigate to [https://dashboard.offstreet.io/location](https://dashboard-test.offstreet.io/location)

Select the location where you want your guests to park. For this example, we chose "Campus Wide Parking," but this will vary depending on your campus setup.

Click on "Create" under the tenant list.

Permits, Events, and Departments are created as a Tenant in Offstreet.

Name your tenant, e.g., "Campus Day Tour." and toggle the "Lookup Link" option to automatically generate an event/registration link. \ \ Once all information is filled out, click "Create 1 Tenant." After creation, click "Visit" to go directly to the tenant/event.

Optionally, you can auto-create a registration management security group.

Click "View Tenant Details" to modify any tenant and portal information, such as tenant name, logo, and instructions.

Click "Create" under registration settings at the bottom of the tenant page.

Edit the "Registration Settings Name" field, e.g., "Complimentary Parking." and enable the setting in the portal to allow users to register via the online link.

Set the following options: - **Start Time:** When the permit will start (e.g., 6:00 AM). - **Expiry Time:** When the permit will expire (e.g., 10:00 PM on the same day). - **Expiry Date:** Set the permit to expire before a specific date (e.g., June 30, 2025). - **Active Days:** Restrict registration to certain days of the week (e.g., Monday - Friday). - **Maximum Vehicle Registrations:** Limit a vehicle to register only three times a year.

Customize each rule by selecting the rule.

Consider these optional settings: - **Registration Creation Date Before:** Restrict registration to a certain date (e.g., June 30, 2025). After this date, the link will no longer work. - **Requires Code:** Require guests to enter a unique code when registering.

Click the "Info" tab to collect additional guest details, such as First Name, Last Name, and Email address. You can choose whether to make these fields mandatory.

Click "Create" to add custom input fields.

Here we are configuring fields that collect the users Name and Email Address.

Try and make the registration process as easy as possible for your guests. Ask for only the information you need.

If applicable, click "Pricing" to define the cost structure, whether a flat fee, daily/nightly rates, or a custom rate table.

Ensure the correct tenant is selected by clicking on "Tenants."

Navigate back to the Location using the Breadcrumb and go to the Lookup Link card to find your Lookup Link. Select it to open the permit in the portal.

Test your registration link (e.g., "Campus Day Tour" link in the location view) to ensure everything works as expected.
