Creating Indicator Groups and Subgroups in Welphi

This tutorial will show how you can group and subgroup your items so that you can automatically change the layout of the page to present your items on different pages or within different sections on the same page

To create groups and subgroups of items, you need to use the "Indicator custom field" to create custom fields before inserting your items/questions.\ This will enable you to build a layout similar to the one below. You can also use these fields to add columns of information to the table.

Please keep in mind that the Custom field is just a placeholder for the groups/categories you want to use and not the actual categories. If you have a field called "Dimension" where the possible dimensions are "Dimension A" and "Dimension B", you are just now creating the field Dimension but not the 2 possible values for this field. The two possible dimensions "Dimension A" and "Dimension B" don't need to be created beforehand, they will be created automatically when you create an indicator belonging to that category.

Click "Add field"

Click "Don't use this field to group indicators"

Click the "Group all the indicators with the same value in this field. Each group will appear in a separate page." field.

Click "Add field"

Click "Group all the indicators with the same value in this field. Each group will appear in a separate page."

This time, we will instruct the software to subgroup all the items with the same value in this field by clicking the "Subgroup all the indicators with the same value in this field. Each subgroup will appear in a separate section." button.

Click "Save"

Click here.

Type "Item 1" in the name box and scroll down to search for the Group field box

Type "Group A"

Then, click the "Sub-group" field box.

Click "Save"

Click "Add indicator"

Click this text field.

Click "Save"

Now, let's add an item 3 belonging to "Group B" and "Subgroup B.1"

Click "Add indicator"
