Creating a "Contractor" Profile in the Pueblo Means Business Portal

Navigate to [PuebloMeansBusiness.com](https://pueblomeansbusiness.com/)

Click "PERMIT PORTAL"

Click "Sign up"

Click the "Your Name" text field and enter your name, first and last.

Click the "Type of Registration" text field and select "Contractor". You can choose Contractor, Designer, or Public.

Contractor - Any individual who has a contractor's license number registered with the Pueblo Regional Building Department. You will be required to enter your "Company License #" if registering as a contractor. Designer - Any individual involved with the conceptual design and planning of the construction project who is not a contractor or the building/business owner. Public - Any individual involved in the construction project who is neither a contractor or a designer. In most cases this person would be the building/business owner. **These instructions will show you how to register as a "Contractor", but we do have separate instruction sets for signing up us a "[Public User](https://scribehow.com/shared/Creating_a_Public_Profile_in_the_Pueblo_Means_Business_Portal__UGFCRMDzT86CJ7wXxubamQ)" or a "[Designer](https://scribehow.com/shared/Creating_a_Designer_Profile_in_the_Pueblo_Means_Business_Portal__QR4Lg6-BS8qlCNEgHnHDRg)".**

Click the "Company License #" text field and enter your Pueblo Regional Building Department (PRBD) License Number.

Click the "Your Email" text field and enter your preferred email address.\ Click the "Company Name" text field and enter the name of the company in which your contractor's license is associated with.\ Click the "Company Email" text field and enter the best email for the company in which your contractor's license is associated with.\ Click the "Your Phone Number" text field and enter the phone number that is best to reach you at.\ Click the "Desired User ID" text field and enter the username you would prefer to use when logging in to the portal.\ Click the "Password" text field and create a login password.

Passwords should have at least 8 characters, 1 number, and 1 special character ($@!%\*#?&^\].)

When all text fields have been entered click "Register".

Open a new window or tab and login to the email account you entered in the "Your Email" text box.

Find an email from "Pueblo Regional Building Department" with the subject "Verify your registered account". Open it.

If you cannot find this email in your inbox, check your spam or junk folder. These emails are frequently filtered as spam.

Click "Activate now"

Return to[PuebloMeansBusiness.com](//PuebloMeansBusiness.com).

Click "PERMIT PORTAL"

Click "Login"

Click the "Enter Username" field and enter your preferred username.\ Click the "Enter Password" Field and enter the password you created.\ Select the "Contractor" option.

Click the "Login" button.

Success! You should now be logged into your brand new PMB Portal Account as a Contractor!
