Creating a Trait List with Search Wizard

Navigate to [BreedBase](https://inventory-test.breedbase.org/) and click "Search"

Click "Wizard"

Select the "Traits" option.

In the "Search" field begin typing the traits you would like to add to your list.

Next to your targeted trait, click "+" to add to your selection.

Once you have added all of your traits to your selection, click the "Create New List..." field.

Type the name for your list and click "Create"

Click the "Search any trait name or piece of name" field and type in the name of the trait you want to add.

Click here to select the traits you want.

After selecting the traits you want, click the "New list..." field.

Type the name you want to assign your list and click "add to new list"
Create the Trait File

Click "Manage"

Click Fieldbook

Next to "Trait Files" click "New"

Select the trait list you created above. Here we chose the "FieldBookTraits" list.

Click the "File name:" field and type the name you want to assign your trait file.

Click "Create File"

You will get a message popup that says "The trait file was created successfully." Click "Download File" to download to your device.

Another way to create the trait file is using the "Manage Upload" section. Click "Manage"

Click "Upload"

Scroll down and click "Create Fieldbook Trait File"

Select your list from the dropdown menu. Alternatively, you can select traits directlu by holding down CMD (Mac) or Cntrl (Windows) and clicking on the traits in the second box.

Click the "File name:" field and type the name you want to assign your trait file.
