Creating a Field Trip Post on ParentSquare

Remember: payments on ParentSquare will be charged a 2.9% +.30 per transaction fee. Make sure to allow for that in your cost. As of 2025-2026 school year that fee will be 3.5% +.30 per transaction.

Navigate to [https://www.parentsquare.com/schools/20217/feeds](https://www.parentsquare.com/schools/20217/feeds)

Click "New Post"

Click the "Select or start typing names of classes or groups to post to" field.

Select group to receive post.

Click this link to select who will receive post.

Click the "Subject" field.

Type "Field Trip"

Click here.

Type "Your content/info here."

Click "POST ADD-ONS" to add any fields you will need to use.

For example, click here to ask for volunteers.

Click "Request Payment"

Click the "yyyy-mm-dd" field for payment due date. The form will close when this ends.

Click the "Enter Item" field.

Click this text field.

Type cost. Don't forget to factor in the ParentSquare fee.

Click the "Allow Guest Payments Allow users outside of ParentSquare to pay" field.

Click this checkbox.

Click "Preview" to view your completed form.

This will show you a preview.

Click "Hide Preview" when finished, or

Click here for a text, app and email test. This WILL look like it has sent--don't panic.

You will see your newsfeed with a link that says "[[Successfully sent test notification. ]][Continue editing](https://www.parentsquare.com/feeds/51171740/edit)[[."]] This will re-open your draft. If you cannot find this link, you can access the draft from the left menu under posts.

When your payment form has closed email Sara Potter. She will run a report and have the funds transferred to your school account. There could be a small delay in the deposits. Reach out to Sara if you have any questions!
