1
In order to make your course open for registrations, you will need to create a section. Click "Add New Section"
2
If you want to label your section whether that is a date or a sub module of the course, you would label it in the "section title" field.
3
Choose how many people you want to enroll. If its an unlimited number then type 999. Be sure to choose a minimum enrollment size and a wait list size.
4
If your course has a canvas connection, fill out the "Section Due Date Box". DO NOT click on "none" or "fixed due date". These options DO NOT WORK. You will save yourself a lot of heartache if you just fill out the first box.
5
Be sure to click the check mark next to "Learning Management System" if your course has a canvas connection. If it does not have a canvas connection. Skip this step.
6
If it does have a canvas section, navigate to your canvas sections and be sure to copy the entire canvas ID and paste it into the LMS ID box in Destiny One.
7
Here is where you will paste the LMS ID. DO NOT paste an LMS ID ending in "INIT" this section CANNOT take students.
8
Click this image.
9
Now scroll up and select the "staff view enrollment" "public view availability" and "public view enrollment" boxes. ALL THREE NEED to be populated
10
If you want to be notified of student enrollments click the check boxes next to "public view" and "staff view"
11
Scroll down and click "Save"
12
Now you need to populate a schedule. So hover over courses and click "Schedule"
13
Fill out the schedule. If your course is online and open enrollment, you can click fill out the schedule similar to the screenshot below.
14
Click "Save"
15
Now you need to fill out fees. EVEN IF YOUR COURSE IS FREE you need to fill out fees. Hover over courses and click "Fees"
16
Click the "flat fee" checkbox if you are not using a tuition profile.
17
Click the "Published Code:" field and name it.
18
Enter the amount
19
Name the fee
20
Choose the proper GL account.
21
Click "Save"
22
Now you need to put your section into "proposed status" so the finance director can confirm the proper fees. Hover over courses and click "Section Profile"
23
Select the "Proposed" option.
24
Click "Save". Once the finance director reviews and approves, your course will be ready for registrations on the public view.
