Creating a Program in Dotdigital

This is a sample guide for creating a program in Dotdigital. Programs are automations that allow you to trigger actions—such as sending an SMS campaign—when specific events occur. In this example, the guide demonstrates how to create a sample program and map it to a list. Once configured, this automation ensures that whenever a contact is added to the list, the associated campaign in the program is automatically sent.

Dotdigital

Login to your Dot digital platform and click on the Automations menu and choose Programs. Click on the 'New Program' Button

Choose the template option as 'Blank Template'.\ \ Give your program a name and choose the program location and click on the 'Continue' button

The first step is to set up a start condition. You can tailor the schedule enrollments according to your specific use case.\ \ In this example, we’ll select the ‘No Schedule Enrollments’* option. Once selected, click 'Apply' to confirm.

The second step is to select your webhook. Choose the Tall Bob webhook you created earlier by following the steps outlined in this article:<https://support.tallbob.com/support/solutions/articles/17000147875-creating-a-webhook-in-dot-digital>

From this section, you can also update your webhook configurations if needed. Just click on the webhook you’ve added to adjust or customize the payloads. Tall Bob has also introduced a new **Webhook Campaign Builder**, designed to make API payload creation easier. The final step is to set an exit condition. Drag and drop the ‘End’* node into your workflow, and once everything is in place, click ‘Activate’* to launch your program.

**Note -** This is only an example scenario created from a sample use case. You may skip the following steps if you already have rules configured in your enrolments \[see Step 3\]

Connecting a List to your Program

Log in to your Dotdigital account and go to the ‘Lists’* section. Then, search for the list you’d like to connect to your program.

Click on the 'Properties' icon next to the list

Scroll to the bottom of the page. Under 'Program Enrolments', click on the 'Change Programs'

Click on the 'Select Program' button and choose the program that you have just created

Click on the 'Apply' button to add the Program for the list. Click on the 'Apply' button to confirm the changes

Once it's all set, click on the 'Save' button to update your List settings

Your program and list are now connected, if your program has been activated messages will now be sent to it whenever contacts are added to the list
