Creating a User Query

To create a user query, we'll need to let data explorer know we want to see users. Select "Add" in the view area. Select "Users" from the dropdown

To change the header of your data, double-click the "as" field. Type in your desired title. Click outside of the textbox and the title will automatically save

To add a filter to users, select the ellipses on the right hand side. Select "Add Filter"

Select your filter from the dropdown. In this example we'll focus on adding a new user filter to focus the data on solely New Users. From the dropdown we'll search for "new" and select the filter "User Is New"

Click "Search" & Your KPI is now visualized.

To change your visualization, select the dropdown in the top right hand corner. Select your visualization, here we'll select "line" to see a line chart over time.

Your data is now visualized as the selected option.
