Creating an Automated Email Campaign

Once you are in the Direct Ordering Admin Panel, click on **"Marketing"**

Click on **"Campaigns"**

Click on **"New Campaign"**

Click on **"What is the name of your campaign?"** field to set the campaign's name.

Set the **"What kind of campaign would you like to create?"** to **"Automated"**

Click on **"Start"**

Click on **"Create Content"** to create your email campaign

Click "Insert"

Once you email content has been created, click on **"Save"**

To exit the edit mode, click on **"Exit"**

Click on **"Next"**

You can select the segment for the campaign by selecting from the drop down menus. You can view more on segments [here](https://itsacheckmate.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/DT1/pages/3634528332/Creating+a+Segment).

Once you have selected your customer segments, click on **"Next"**

You can then select the trigger for your automated campaign by opening the drop-down menu for "Select you event trigger"

You can select from the options: - Birthday - Last Order Date - Order Placed
Automated Campaigns - Birthday

**Birthday:** Send an automated campaign based on the Guest's birthday. The below options are available: - **Before the event:** Send the campaign a specific number of days before the Guest's birthday - **On the event:** Send the campaign on the Guest's birthday - **After the event:** Send the campaign a specific number of days after the Guest's birthday
Automated Campaigns - Last Order Date

**Last Order Date:** Send an automated campaign based on the Guest's last order date. The below options are available: - **On the event:** Send the campaign based on the last order date - **After the event:** Send the campaign a specific number of days after the Guest's last order date
Automated Campaigns - Order Placed

**Order Placed:** Send an automated campaign based on when the Guest's places an order. The below options are available: - **On the event:** Send the campaign when the day the Guest places an order - **After the event:** Send the campaign a specific number of days after the Guest's placed an order

Once the trigger criteria has been set, you can set **"When do you want to make the campaign active?"** by selecting one of the below options: - **Not yet:** Campaign is created, but not active. No emails will be sent - **Active now:** The campaign will become active now. You will be able to set the time zone and when the campaign should end. - **Active later:** Set the campaign to start at future time and date. You will set the Start and End dates and time.

Once all the details have been set, click on **"Next"**

Once all details have been set, you can click on **"Schedule Now"** to schedule the automated campaign. The email campaign will now send based on triggers set.
