Creating and saving a new Marks Book

This guide provides a step-by-step approach to creating and saving a personalized Marks Book, a valuable tool for organizing and analysing student test data. By following the instructions, users can customize their Marks Book with specific tests, layouts, and sorting options to meet their needs. The ability to export data to Excel enhances usability for further analysis. Viewing this guide will empower educators to effectively manage and interpret student performance metrics.

Navigate to "**Marks Book**" and select "**Dashboard**"

In the top-right of the page, click "**New Marks Book**"

Select all your parameters to your liking for your **Marks Book**, then click "**Get Tests**"

Choose the tests to show up in the **Marks Book**, you also "**Select All**" to choose every test within your search parameters

Keep in mind in this example, a total of 68 tests were selected\ It's recommended to choose tests that apply to the type of **Marks Book** you're looking to create and save

To sort the tabs in your Marks Book, select the **Tabs** drop-down menu\ **Tabs** can be sorted by "**Domain**", "**Classroom**" and "**School Year**"

To change the layout of your **Marks Book** you select "**Layout**" this changes which **benchmarks**, **metrics**, **test** **year level**, **student** **year** **level** and **test** **segments** are displayed visually\ \ With sort & filtering, you can choose which **test years**, **types**, **date ranges**, **student year levels**, and **test units** are shown in the **Marks Book**

There is also an "**Export**" button if you would like to export the **Marks Book** to an excel file (.xlsx)

After all changes are made, select "**Save Marks Book**", enter a suitable name and then click "**Save Marks Book**" again

In the top-right again, open the "**Save Marks Book**" drop-down, and click "**Save Marks Book**"\ \ The green text at the top appears after saving, ensuring and confirming your **Marks Book** has been saved successfully

To check your Marks Book creation was successful, navigate once more to "**Marks Book**" and select "**Dashboard**"

Your newly saved **Marks Book** will appear in the **Marks Book** dashboard, confirming it has saved correctly
