Deploying Norsk Studio on Akamai Linode

This guide provides a step-by-step process for creating a Linode instance specifically for Norsk Studio.

You'll need this StackScript file: <https://github.com/norskvideo/norsk-studio-docker/blob/dev/scripts/akamai_stack_script.sh>

Navigate to <https://www.linode.com/>. You will need a Linode account to log in.

Once in your account, click StackScripts.

Click Create StackScript.

Click the StackScript Label (required) field. Give the StackScript a name.

Click the Description field and give it a description.

Click Target Images and select Debian 12

Paste your StackScript into the Script tab and click Create StackScript.

Select your newly named Linode instance.

Select Deploy New Linode.

Add your Norsk license (more details [here](https://scribehow.com/page/Getting_live_with_Norsk_Studio__45RqikA4R6S6QQmAk2Awig)) create a password and remember, as this is the main login

Select your Region.

Click the instance type needed for your intended workflow.

Create the Root Password field and enter a new password. If you are a Norsk Engine customer you may need this password again, so be sure to save it somewhere safe.

You'll only need to do this once; you can reuse it each time you launch the StackScript. Once you've configured the firewall, return here and proceed to the next step.

Click on Firewall and Select the firewall you've created.

Click Create Linode.

Copy the Public IP to clipboard and open in a new window

In a new tab, navigate to <https://212.71.252.191/studio/> Add the Username; norsk-studio-admin and the newly created password from step 11 and Sign in

Norsk Studio is now live.
