Deploying Norsk Studio on Google Cloud Console

This guide provides a straightforward walkthrough for deploying Norsk Studio on Google Cloud Console. By following the step-by-step instructions, you can quickly set up and launch Norsk Studio, ensuring a smooth and efficient deployment process.

Navigate to <https://console.cloud.google.com/marketplace/product/id3as-public/norsk-studio?q=search&referrer=search&inv=1&invt=Abw18A&project=id3as-public>.

Click "Launch."

Click the "Deployment name" field and give your deployment a name.

Select the machine of your choice. Norsk offers a default setting for its EncodeLadder component, which has been tested on selected instances. For example, the default EncodeLadder on our default Google Cloud instance \[8 vCPUs + 32 GB memory (e2-standard-8)\] uses about 65-70% CPU.

You will be given options during installation to enter domain names for your devices. Use this feature if you have the relevant DNS setup within your organization. Doing so will ensure SSL is provisioned - you will also need to independently manage the IP address allocation of your chosen infrastructure to match the DNS configuration. \ \ NOTE: If you do not configure DNS you may see a warning when you try to access the web console of any new Norsk Studio instance using HTTPS : As long as you are aware that the HTTPS used by the UI cannot be confirmed secure you can "Proceed to" the machines IP address without DNS configured.

Click "Deploy."

Deployment will likely take a few minutes. When complete, click "Details."

Make a note of the Admin User and Admin Password.\ \ Copy Instance Nat IP to clipboard

Open a new tab and paste the IP address that you just copied.

Enter the Admin User name and Admin Password and click "Sign in"

Norsk Studio is now live.
