Determine how students are Identified in a Course (Class Roster)

Filtering student identification in the course roster is a quick way to find out the asset tag number of your student's computer. This is great for completing tech tickets especially when the student isn't available. It's also a way you automatically view the student's name or "Username" when they're in your class. (The username is the first part of the email address to the left of the @ symbol. )

Navigate to the class you want to know the device name of. Click **"Settings."**

Click **"Class Roster."**

Click the down arrow.

Click **"Device Name"** to see the asset tag of the specific device. Click **"Display Name"** to see the student's first an last name associated with the device. Click **"Username"** to see the first part of the student's email address (to the left of the @ symbol). Once you select this in the class roster, that is how you will see students in an active course.
