Documenting Extended School Year Services in Services Module

This guide contains two illustrations. 1) For Level 2 & 3 Users: It shows the new location for Extended School Year questions within the Services Module. 2) For Level 4 Users: It shows documenting the current Extended School Year for SPEDPro Reporting.

If you are creating an annual Student Plan, select **Yes** for the Extended School Year option. If you are creating an amendment, proceed directly to Step 2.

To enter Extended School Year Services, click the Services Module.

Click the "Considerations" tab.

Scroll down to the "Extended School Year" section. Select "Yes" to indicate that extended school year services are necessary.

Once "Yes" is selected, then select the appropriate reason and include additional information in the Severity Justification/Reasoning text box.

Save & Complete.

The next steps will be used for SPEDPro documentation of ESY - Level 4

Navigate to "Adjust My Settings" from the portal menu.

Click 'View' on the ESY Data Collection card.

Select '2025 - 2026' from the Service Fiscal Year dropdown menu.

Check the box in the Attended ESY column for the selected student.

Next, we'll take a look at the Extended School Year Report. Click "Reports"

Click 'View' next to the ESY Report entry.

Select the filter options.

A student will be included on the ESY report if they are marked "Yes" in the ESY data collection section. The student will be marked for ESY on the SPEDPro export for the next Fiscal Year.
