1
To get started, navigate to the **Projects** page from the **Admin Portal** left hand menu.
2
**Click on a project** from the Projects page to access the Project Settings page.
3
Alternatively, you can click on **create a new project** to start with a brand new project and access the Project Settings page.
4
Next, navigate to the **Project Stationing** tab in the Project Settings page.
5
This view is divided into two sections. The map on the left, powered by Esri, displays your agency’s data offering several layers options.
6
On the right side, you can begin the stationing workflow for this project.
7
First, select a projection for the project before adding routes and alignments.
8
Next, you have the option to incorporate stationing alignments from external XML files or manually add routes and stations to the map with coordinates.
9
Let's start by uploading an XML file. If one is available, we *highly recommend* using it to automate the project stationing setup.
10
Be patient as it may take some time for the system to connect to ArcGIS and process your upload.
11
Depending on the complexity of the uploaded file, this view may look slightly different.
12
The map on the left displays a visual representation of the project’s stations based on the uploaded file.
13
You can toggle the base map type from Streets, Satellite or Hybrid view.
14
Depending on your agency’s support, you can also enable details like the LRS or the Linear Referencing System, Drone Imagery and more.
15
On the right, you can see details of the project’s stations based on the uploaded file.
16
If needed, you can edit the projection used for this project.
17
Note that changing the projection will reset the project stationing and remove the existing routes and alignments you may have already configured.
18
Below that, the view is split into two tabs. The left tab, labeled **External Files**, is further divided into sub-tabs based on the uploaded file.
19
If needed, you can upload more alignment files by clicking the plus sign to the right.
20
Further down, you'll see the alignments with stationing data that can be added to the project.
21
Note that to add the alignments to the Inspector mobile app, you must categorize each alignment accordingly.
22
The first dropdown menu to the right lets you bulk categorize all alignments in this uploaded file accordingly.
23
Alternatively, you can categorize each individual alignment to fit your needs.
24
Clicking on an alignment on the right highlights it on the map.
25
Similarly, clicking on an alignment on the map highlights it on the right.
26
Once satisfied click on the update button at the bottom right to save your work.
