Edit and Update Spotlight on Climate Article Content

This guide explains how to edit and update the content for the Spotlight on Climate article. Learn how to copy, paste, and format text to ensure your articles are current and accurately reflect the intended message.

Click here.

Click "Folder: Our Work"

Click "Spotlight on Climate"

Click "Edit"

Click, hold, and drag your cursor to highlight the previous articles.

Once you have highlighted all the articles, drag and drop them slowly. The Squarespace drag and drop is not very good, so this may take a few tries.

Once the articles are in the right spot, click on a blank section of the page. This will clear the blue boxes and prepare the next step.

Now, highlight one of the articles and its links. We will duplicate this and then replace the previous content with the new content.

Click this icon.

This part can be tricky. The boxes will overlap after duplication, so you want to click roughly here to drag just the newly duplicated article up into its own spot.

If Steps 9-11 don't work, you can click 'Add Block' and do the process manually. This is okay, but the new article may look slightly different than the previous articles.

Now, we add the new content. First, do the links.

Double Click "Read from the Daily Sun — View/Download PDF"

Click "Edit"

Copy the URL from AZDailySun

Paste it into the textbox

Click a blank section of the page to reset and prepare to add the PDF

Double Click "Read from the Daily Sun — View/Download PDF"

Click "Edit"

Click this icon. This will open up your downloads and you can select the PDF.

At this point while creating this scribe document, the links completely dissappeared and I had delete the newly duplicated boxes. If something goes wrong, click the Exit button. Then click exit again on the box that pops up. This will bring you back to the page's original state. I had to do Steps 5-20 again.

Since I already uploaded the PDF in my first try, I can now just Click "Edit"

Click "Edit" (again, this was not working, so I decided to remove the link and add a new link back)

Click "Remove Link"

To add a new link, highlight "View/Download PDF"

Press [[cmd]] + [[k]] on Mac or ctrl+k on PC or the link symbol to the right of the "Aa" icon

Click this icon.

Click "File"

Click this checkbox.

Click a blank section of the page

Okay, links done. Now we will update the article name, date, and author.

Click "Spotlight on Climate: What's this migration fuss all about?"

Press [[cmd]] + [[c]]

Switch back to tab Spotlight on Climate | Learn. Act. Change Now — NAZCCA"

Double-click "Palisades Fire Survivors are Speaking Up (January 2026) by Stefan Sommer"

Click here.

Delete the old article name and paste in the new one

If it's bolded, highlight the text and click the 'B' icon to unbold

Double-click "What's this migration fuss all about? (January 2026) by Stefan Sommer"

Type "March" or whatever month it is

Remove previous author's name and add new one

Click a blank section.

We are now done creating the new article! Now, we can clean up the page a little. If you'd like, you can Save at this point to capture your progress.

Highlight the previous articles

Slowly drag them up and next to the new one

Click "Save"

At this point, you can go to the normal page, <https://www.nazcca.org/spotlight-on-climate> and test it out.
