Editing an estimate and work order

The steps to edit an estimate with no work order is the same. The only difference is that you can skip the work order editing steps below.

Navigate to the client file.

Select the estimate you want to edit.

Click "Edit Estimate / Work Order"

You can change the estimate/invoice template, issued date, sales contact, and/or status.

You can change the type of work order, locates options, and status of work order.

Click into the grey box to add/change notes. You can also change estimated costs, mark-up, or quantity.

Be sure to click outside of the box before clicking on "Save"

You can extend columns by hover over the "|" symbol and dragging to the right.

Change any of the descriptions or costs by clicking into the box and start typing. Remember to click outside of the box before saving.

Once you are in editing mode you can change or adjust the display options for service line items and totals.

Click "Save"

Once you hit save it will bring you to the preview screen.

As you scroll down you will see an area where you can drag and drop files or pictures to that particular estimate. Hit the "+" symbol to add files as well.

Click "Estimate PreviewWe have prepared a preview of the customer Estimate below.This estimate was sent to the customer on 2025-05-27.Email estimate to..."

You can email any updated version to the client.

As you continue to scroll down you will see the preview of your estimate with the options you included.
