Embed a PDF Document into a Post

Civify

Google Drive

This tutorial will show the process from Google Drive and Microsoft One Drive. Other options may exist from cloud drive providers. Pick the type you want to use and then proceed to the Civify instructions below.

Google Drive

Navigate to [https://drive.google.com/](https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0AAo8Y9jAXMxSUk9PVA)

Choose your document to open

Click "More actions"

Click "Open in new tab"

You'll know you're in the right spot if you have the file menu in the upper left corner. Click "File"

Under Share, click "Get embed link"

Select the text and use CTRL + C to copy the text.

Proceed to Step 13.

Microsoft OneDrive

These steps are only necessary if using OneDrive instead of Google Drive.

Navigate to Microsoft OneDrive

Click this button.

Click "Embed"

Click "Generate"

Click "Copy embed code"

Civify Instructions

Switch to Civify

Under Posts, select the Page Design Menu. Here you can choose between the text editor or the content builder experience. First we will look at the text editor. See the content builder experience below. You may enter any text and add styling as you wish to begin.

At the point in your text editing that you want to embed the document, click on the HTML icon in the menu bar.

Click the "Paste raw HTML here..." field.

Press [[CTRL]] + [[V ]]

Click the check mark to save the html text.

Click "Preview HTML" to view your post content.

Civify Content Builder Experience

Click "Content Builder"

Click "Open Designer"

Use blocks from the right menu to build your page as you desire.

Click "Basic" to find the page that has the HTML block we will need.

Scroll towards the bottom and find the HTML block. Drag this to the part of the page you wish to place it.

Click "Code Block"

Type " [[Backspace]]"

Click this button with the settings cog.

Select all of the html text in this window. Use CTRL + A to select all and then delete it.

Press [[CTRL]] + [[V]]

After you've pasted the HTML embed text of your document, click OK.

Your document is now embedded. Click "Preview" to view it.

Click "Save & Close"

Click "Save & Continue"
