Embedding H5P Content in VU Collaborate

You can use H5P Learning Objects to create, share and reuse interactive content to engage students and stimulate their learning within VU Collaborate, or external sites.

About Page

Embedding H5P to a session page

Login to [VU Collaborate](https://vucollaborate.vu.edu.au/d2l/home), and navigate to a unit space. Then, go to the relevant session folder.

Click on **Edit HTML** from the dropdown next to a session page

If you don't have a session page, click on **New** then **New Document** to create one.

Place the cursor where you want the activity to be embedded

Click on the **Insert Stuff** from the editor option

Click **H5P Learning Object**

You can locate the H5P activity from different folders search for an existing H5P that you've created or shared with you

You can also search for the title of the H5P activity, then press **Enter**

Locate the activity, and click on **Insert** button

You will see a preview of your H5P, click **Insert** to confirm

Once done, click **Save and Close**

You can insert multiple H5P objects into a single HTML document. You can also insert an H5P wherever you see the Insert Stuff icon.

Embedding H5P as a standalone activity

Go to the relevant session folder

Click **Add Activities**

Click **H5P Quicklink**

Locate your H5P activity, then click on **Insert**

Once complete, your H5P should appear as an External Learning Tool, which students can access by clicking on the title.

Embedding in an external website

Use this option to embed the H5P to external site, or to allow students to access with game code for live game activities.

Click **More Options** (three dots button) on the top right

Click **Publish**

Change the status from Protected to **Public**

Click **Embed code**

Click on the iframe box to copy the code

Lastly, click **Update** to apply changes.
