Enabling the Turnitin Similarity Report
This guide shows how to enable the Turnitin Similarity Report in the Assessment Dropbox.

Log in to VU Collaborate and navigate to your unit space. \ On the main menu, click **"Assessments".**

Then **"Dropbox"**
Tip! This guide shows how to edit a Dropbox folder, if creating a new Assessment Dropbox, see Creating an Assessment Dropbox, then select **"Save"** before taking the next steps.

From the dropbox menu.

Click **"Edit Folder"**

Expand the **"Evaluation & Feedback"** panel.

Scroll down and click **"Manage Turnitin"** to view the settings.

Tick the **"Enable Similarity Report for this folder"** checkbox, to enable Turnitin report creation.

Then tick the **"Allow learners to see similarity scores in their submission folder"** checkbox, to allow students to view the reports.

Click **"Save"** to save settings and return to the Dropbox.
Exclude Template (optional)
Optionally, you can upload a template of text to be automatically excluded from the similarity report. *NOTE: The Templates can be uploaded or modified until the first assessment submission.*

To do so, click **"Manage Turnitin"**, to return to the Turnitin settings, then click **"More Options"**.

Scroll down and click **"Upload Template"**

Click **"Choose File"** to find and select a template.

Click **"Submit"**

Click **"Save"** to save settings and return to the Dropbox.

Click **"Save and Close"** to return to the Assessment Dropbox Folders list

Following the dropbox name, a Turnitin icon will be displayed.
Why can't students see the Report?
Why can't students see the Turnitin Report? In the Assessment Dropbox, expand **Evaluation & Feedback**, then select **Manage Turnitin**. Under the Similarity Report settings check "**Allow learners to see similarity scores in their submission folder",** is **selected**.
