Expected Symptom Levels - Patient Specific

It may be appropriate for a specific patient to have an alert type "snoozed" so that the information from the patient is recorded, but a unique care team response via alert management is not required.

Tip! This feature is especially valuable for patient situations where the symptom is stable and has been appropriately mitigated, the symptoms are expected related to treatment conditions, or the chronic nature of the symptom has been established and the patient experience is satisfactory

Navigate to the Alert Banner in a patient's dashboard or to the Symptom Profile section of the Patient Summary tab

To the far right of the Alert Banner select the edit pencil icon to set an expected level for the current symptom alert type

Note the Symptom Expectation alert type (i.e. 'Anxiety') and select the desired threshold

Click this dropdown and make a selection for the duration of the expectation

Tip! If the patient experiences an increase in symptom severity OVER what is set for the expectation, an alert WILL be generated. For example, if a patient's expectation is set to 'Moderate', but the patient experiences a change and reports the symptom as 'Severe' an alert will be generated for the care team to respond to

Click "Save"

Expectation Setting (No Open Symptom Alerts)

Click "Patient Summary"

Click "Symptom Profile"

Click "+ New" to add a new symptom expectation for this patient

Click this dropdown to select the symptom (alert type)

Click this dropdown to set the level of the selected symptom that is expected for this patient

Alert! Setting symptom expectation thresholds as 'severe' should be done with caution, though this may be appropriate in some clinical care situations for specific patients

Click this dropdown to select the duration of expectation desired and then 'Save' in the lower right

Tip! The current maximum is 1 month and the information that the patient reports continues to be recorded and available in the Symptom section of the patient's dashboard

NOTE: in the Symptom Profile section of the Patient Summary tab, you can view any expectations that have been set for the patient and edit as needed

Click the "All" field to view any symptom expectations that have expired

Symptom expectations may also be easily removed

Click "Yes, Remove"
