Make sure you are on the **Azure AI Foundry** page, click on the **AI Services** from the left bar

Scroll the page and click on the **Vision + Document** option

Scroll the page to the **General document analysis models** section and click on the **Try demo** option for **OCR/Read**

**What is OCR/Read in Azure AI Services?** OCR/Read in Azure AI Services is a capability that uses advanced Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to extract text from images and documents. It accurately reads both printed and handwritten content, supporting multiple languages and complex layouts. This service powers automation scenarios like document digitization, form processing, and content indexing.

**Read** page will open, click on any sample file

Click on the **Run analysis** button

On the right side you can view the **Content Text**

Click on the **Result** tab to view in JSON format

Scroll the page to the **Run the code** section, click on **View code** button to view the sample code

Click on the **View documentation** button to view its documentation

On the top left side, click on the **Read** dropdown option

Click on the **Layout** option from the dropdown

**Layout** page will open, click on any sample file

Click on the **Run analysis** button

On the right side you can view the **Content Text**

Click on the **Result** tab to view in JSON format

Click on **Invoices** from the dropdown

**Invoices** page will open, click on any sample file

Click on the **Run analysis** button

On the right side you can view the Fields and its details

Click on the **Content** tab to view the Tables and data
